Iced Energy promotes:
Iced Energy Synchronized Skating Teams
Iced Energy promotes excellence by encouraging skaters to achieve and perform at their highest
level in a positive training environment fostering teamwork and good sportsmanship. We strive
to enrich skater knowledge on and off ice while emphasizing personal and team growth of all
participants. We encourage "life skills" and develop our athletes with a core of morals and ethics
that will positively influence and develop the individual throughout their life.

Operating under the umbrella of the Newmarket Skating Club, Iced Energy has been fielding
Synchronized Skating Teams for more than 15 years. We are very proud to have produced Open
team National Bronze medalists in 2001 and 2002 and Novice National Champion teams in
2003 and 2004. In 2008-09 Newmarket is represented by six Festival Synchronized Skating
teams; four youth teams, an Adult team and a Masters team.
Synchronized Skating helps develop co-operation, teamwork, and social skills, and has been
shown to help keep youth interested in Figure Skating. Iced Energy requires that our youth
skaters be enrolled in Figure Skating, in order to maintain and develop skill levels, and more
than 50 Newmarket Skating Club skaters participate in our four youth teams.
